Popular and good starting point for a hike towards Soden, Höhe Warte or Aschaffenburg. Although already quite rotten, the oak is very impressive. Numerous banks invite you to stop.

The Aschaffenburgert are said to have already taken a breakfast break on the “Dicken Eiche” on hikes in the direction of the Hohe Wart. In Soden, the tree is referred to as the "Aos tree".
Good starting point for a hike over the Stengerts lookout tower and a visit to the wild horses. 😀
