Small chapel dedicated to Saint Walburga. The current building itself dates from the early 19th century. In the chapel, however, you will find a Walburga statue from the 17th century, which proves that a chapel must have stood here much earlier.

Section 2 of the Nibelungensteig, here the highest point of the hike, 470m above sea level, from there it only goes down towards Grassellenbach, a detour to Cafe BAUER is highly recommended.

Nice chapel. Idyllic here. There is actually nothing to be heard of the nearby wind turbines here today.

After a strenuous climb up the zigzag path. The chapel is a nice reward with a view.

The Walburgis Chapel is located east of the Fürth district of Weschnitz, which is consecrated to Saint Walburga. Unfortunately, I don't know what it looks like from the inside, as it was closed, but from the outside it was more than worth seeing and the views are also sensational.
