Dry wells in the village, but fresh spring water in Waldachtal 140 meters lower. A case for the state technician Ehman, who planned public water supply systems on behalf of the state of Württemberg at the end of the last century. His technique was to pump the spring water via cast-iron pipes into higher-lying villages directly into the connected houses and the surplus into a water reservoir.
Built in 1893, the Bösinger pumping station with weir and 300 meter long engine duct, the water wheel with a diameter of 6 meters and a double-acting plunger pumping station with 5 - 7 PS was built by the Maschinenfabrik Esslingen and is in the view of experts in the wider area a unique facility and industrial monument. Until 1991, the plant was in operation as a self-water supply. The Bösinger Wasserhäusle is located directly below the well-known BurgRuine Mantelberg, directly on the Waldach and is easiest to reach on foot from the hiking car park Mandelberg in Bösingen (about 1 km) or from the Bösinger Sägemühle (about 1.5 km).

An old well in the middle of the forest 🙂. Idyllically located. The bike has to be carried on your shoulders to cross the stream. Behind the well house, a short, steep path leads back to the hiking trail.
