Tips
Moors are living space - and important tools in the fight against climate change. For this reason, the Stapelfelder Moor was renatured on a large scale in 2021 and old, drained moor areas were recovered. In the process, the paths for cyclists and hikers were redesigned, as part of the old circular path is in the now renatured area. The new circular route has been open since February 2022.

In 01/2021 the road was hardly passable with the bike (47mm MTB tires) despite the dryness. The surface was badly damaged by horses and looks like a potato field (see Wander POI in Komoot for a rough idea.
