The Marsvinsholm Castle estate was first mentioned in the 14th century. At that time the property was still known as Bosøe. It was not until the middle of the 17th century that the Danish nobleman Otte Marsvin acquired the property, built the imposing castle in the brick construction typical of the region and named it after his family - hence the name Marsvinsholm. Since 2007, a sculpture exhibition can be admired in the adjacent park, which is expanded every year.

Beautiful moated castle from the 17th century with spacious green areas and a large park. Unfortunately privately owned, but nice to look at from the M745 (Svarte - Skarby) road.
