Melcher's hut, formerly also New Cameroon or Buschkaroff hut, is one of the traditional Hamm huts and is located at the western end of the former Holtstelle, the main trading place for peat in the 19th century.
Under new management since February 2016, it has been a popular destination for walkers, cyclists and boat and peat boat trips.
