Hiking

The Ahrgebirge, also called Ahreifel, is a 25 km long, wildly rugged mountain range on both sides of the Ahr. The narrow, almost alpine climbs through the rock bands, coupled with fantastic views of the Ahr Valley, make this part of the Eifel a real hiking paradise. The route "Rocky climbs around Altenahr" presented here leads to a number of vantage points and on a fairly exposed, unsecured via ferrata across the Engelsley.
