The Wangermeer can be found on the northern outskirts of Hohenkirchen. The lake is artificially created, about 100 hectares in size and was created by mining clay in the course of dike heightening measures.
We were able to watch water birds here and have found a beautifully situated and sheltered bench as a resting place at the foot of the ramparts of the bridge promenade.
