This lake lies at the very back of the valley basin and is fed by meltwater and still has ice floes for a long time. Unfortunately, the path is a dead end, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it.From the Nissalm, first over a piece of alpine meadow, then increasingly steeply through scree and mountain pines.

My favorite lake in the Ötztal valley! A place I happily return to almost every summer :)
The trail from Gries is short and very safe even for a 10-year-old child, and halfway there you can rest at the Nisslalm inn.
