Hiltruper See, also known as Steiner See after its first tenant, is a lake created by sand mining south of Münster in Hiltrup. It lies directly on the Münsterland gravel train. To the south and east is the forest area of the Hohe Ward. The new journey of the Dortmund-Ems Canal runs north of the lake.
