The Tucher are an old Nuremberg noble family from the high Middle Ages, whose members were able to write history as traders, travelers and councilors, especially later in the transition to the early modern period, while the city of Nuremberg was one of the most important centers of the empire. One of the mansions of this former patrician is located in Simmelsdorf (headquarters since 1598). The site cannot be entered.

The Tucherschloss is a listed building in the municipality of Simmelsdorf in the district of Nürnberger Land in Middle Franconia in Bavaria. The castle is registered as a monument in the Bavarian list of monuments under monument number D-5-74-158-1. It has been owned by the Patrician Tucher von Simmelsdorf since 1598.

The so-called old castle was originally a moated castle from the 14th century. It was rebuilt from 1830 to 1841 according to a design by Leonhard Schmidtner. On the stone ground floor sits a half-timbered one covered with a high half-hip flanked at the corners by small towers. On the north side is a polygonal stair tower covered with a tent roof.
