The Zigeunerhütte is on the right in the forest after about 3 km. Shortly before the Zabelstein ruins, there is a coal pile on the right. This was in operation until after the Second World War. In 1974 this was renovated by the Steigerwald National Park. It consisted of two combustion chambers with 3 and 6 sterile wood capacities. The wood coal contained 90% carbon and was used for steel production and processing.
A few meters further on you can still see the fountain that supplied the settlement on Zabelstein with water.
A radio station can be seen on the right hand side.
