Vitzthum von Eckstädt (1675-1726), secret cabinet minister under August the Strong and since 1711 imperial count. After expropriation, it was partly a manor with apartments in the GDR era, and the Great Hall was used for cultural events. After the sale it decayed more and more. Security measures are now taking place. It is the largest castle area in the district of North Saxony.
