The Etzenrather mill takes its name from the nearby village of Etzenrade, which is now a Dutch village. The first mention comes from a description of the border on the occasion of a strange accident in 1492.

The former water mill is located on a very nice bike path near the small town of Gangelt with the zoo and on the edge of the Teverener Heide.
It is worth taking a short break here and comfortably drinking a beer or a bite to eat on the outside terrace.
Very good excursion restaurant.
The Etzenrather Mühle, located on the Rodebach, is a former water mill with an undershot water wheel and was first mentioned in 1492.
