A Sustrans cycle route via gravel track from Ae forest all the to Beattock stunning views and no one around this is a remote route so make sure you have plenty of spares with you, you can link in some of the Annandale way for a return trip which offers some superb quite sections of low level tracks and minor roads or jump back into the forest via the timber haulage road.
