Tips
Refuge built in 1854 in honor of Louis Ravené, k. u. k. Austrian - Hungarian Consul General in Berlin. Ravené spent several years as a spa guest in Ilmenau. Because of his earnings for Ilmenau, he was granted honorary citizenship.
The first of two strong climbs is done up here. The trail that follows the Oberer Berggrabenweg begins a few meters further up. Nice view over Ilmenau guaranteed.translated by
