The viewers of the ZDF television series Coast Guard Neustadt will be known as the port of the Albatross II.

In 1244 the city of Neustadt in Holstein was founded by Count Adolf IV. It is located in the scenic district of Ostholstein on the Bay of Lübeck directly on the “Vogelfluglinie”, the busy European north-south connection to Scandinavia.
