Franzosenhöhle near Tanna

For some reason, the existing highlight is not shown on my tour. The position of the old highlight may be inaccurate ... That's why I create my own highlight at the correct position of the hike I just made.
There are all sorts of legends from the French cave, So the residents are said to have hidden from Napoleon's troops, and allegedly there are corridors to the neighboring towns ... No idea whether this is true ...
The French cave is currently quite unspectacular and you cannot "go in" either. It's actually just a short "hole". The rest have been buried or burgled. Back then, as children, we crawled in a few meters with a flashlight and were happy when we found some chunks of pyrite (cat gold).
A hike to the cave is definitely worth it, if only because of the beautiful landscape and the long forests.
