The Historical Education Center "Gród Foluszek" is located 10 km north of Brodnica on the Popek Lake. The idea of establishing the Historical Education Center "Folk of the Folks" was born in 2000 after observing similar thematic parks in other European countries. There, much earlier, the need for a slightly different approach to education with young people focused mainly on the reception of easy, light and pleasant things was noticed. Education through play becomes an ideal way to learn, during which young people are an eyewitness to history. It is thanks to acquaintance with the sword, bow or crossbow that she becomes a participant in the archaeological experiment that allows her, as if in passing, to self-education. In the town of Foluszek classes take place, which, in addition to the load of theoretical knowledge, have above all the dimension of meetings with living history within a specially prepared for this purpose settlement. The Foluszek Castle is a perfect place for a lively adventure with history and archeology, which will leave a distinct mark in the knowledge of a young man. There are classes for children and youth in the town, among others from fencing, crossbow or archery. You can also hear stories about the culture and ethics of chivalry. Participants can also personally knock out a commemorative coin with the help of stamps made according to medieval patterns.
