The descent from the Alpspitze may be a bit tricky at the beginning, since inexperienced people are lacking safety options here. You work your way down the gravel bed. Later it goes along rocks that offer firm tread and safeguards.

A helmet always makes sense on such tours. Because neither local knowledge nor physical condition has any effect on falling rocks. The stone comes whenever it wants and anyone who rides here without a helmet is being careless. A via ferrata set is particularly useful for beginners.
