At the entrance to the Baltic Sea resort of Olpenitz, a boulder reminds us that the naval base was Olpenitz. A base of the Federal Navy at the mouth of the Schlei in the Baltic Sea, which existed from 1964 to 2006 and was home to two speedboat squadrons and two mine search squadrons.
