One of the Bridge of Orchy Munros, hiking up Beinn Achaladair takes you to the fine 3,406-foot (1,380 m) summit with stunning views. If you like your Scottish adventures packed with peaks, you can add in its neighbours too, completing all four if you’re particularly enthusiastic.
Many hikers choose to add fellow Munro Beinn a’ Chreachain into the mix too. You can park at Achallader and opt to hike a circular route in either direction. A word of warning for the Water of Tulla section: the footbridge crossing the river is no longer present and staying on the south side of the river is a better choice.
Mixed, pathless terrain is the bread and butter here while approaching the summit from Beinn a’ Chreachain requires a steep pull up. Loch Tulla and the Black Mount lochans are magical sights while in every direction the fantastically lumpy mountains give the landscape a wild and remote atmosphere.
Beinn Achaladair is a 3,406-foot (1,038 m) Munro in the Scottish Highlands. The summit offers great views to the hills of the Blackmount to the west. To link across to Beinn a' Chreachain you must drop sharply down the steep eastern side of the mountain but don't worry, there is a path to follow and it's not technical.

An exposed position, this Munro will have great views north. Summit is a small cairn on outcrop, perhaps harder to spot. Position NN 34471 43234.
