Since 2014, the footbridge has replaced the old dike-road which led to Mont-Saint-Michel. It is part of the operation to restore the maritime character of Mont-Saint-Michel. Carried out from 2005 to 2015, this development served to restore the unique character of the block housing the abbey. Crossing the bridge on foot is a wonderful experience.

Magnificent bridge which leads to Mont-Saint-Michel.
But cyclists must be careful: cycling is unfortunately prohibited between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the summer. So choose the morning or evening to admire Mont-Saint-Michel in all its splendor!
Between October and the end of April, bicycles are authorized to circulate 24 hours a day on the road embankment, the footbridge and the Mont Saint-Michel esplanade.
