Footbridge to Mont Saint-Michel

Since 2014, the footbridge has replaced the old dike-road which led to Mont-Saint-Michel. It is part of the operation to restore the maritime character of Mont-Saint-Michel. Carried out from 2005 to 2015, this development served to restore the unique character of the block housing the abbey. Crossing the bridge on foot is a wonderful experience.

Due to the increasing silting the old access path including the parking lot was demolished and replaced by a boardwalk, so that the mountain can now be completely washed around again and thus gradually freed of sand again.
