Old Railroad Grade Fire Road runs along the lower perimeter of the 509-acre preserve. In rainy season, see Fairfax Falls cascading 25 feet. It is a two mile popular bike-legal way to get to the top of Sir Francis Drake Blvd and skip the pavement. The firm gravel trail on an old railroad grade is easy and non-technical except for a short 200-yard tough gully crossing at Fairfax Falls, where there used to be an elevated train trestle and is now a short, steep downhill followed by a short steep uphill granny gear grunt. It's a fun ride in both directions. The lower end of the trail starts behind White Hill School at the end of Glen Drive. The upper end of the trail is on Gunshot Fire Rd.
