Almost nothing will happen to you, because our free Sauerbrunnen water has been certified as almost medicinal water quality. Depending on the weather, however, care should be taken to ensure that carbon dioxide gas can escape, particularly at the bottom of the well.

The Sauerbrunnenwasser used to appreciate the farmers who worked in the nearby fields. Children used a homemade two-wheeled cart, the “Buar-Koar”, to bring the bottled water to their families in the town when it was not yet possible to afford expensive mineral water.

With a relaxing break at the Sauerbrunnen, you can plan a picnic and, as a little change, cool your feet in the shallow stream. This shady spot is particularly recommended in hot summer.

Whether you just take a short walk from Kobern, or take the Tatzelwurmweg, the dream path “Koberner Burgpfad” or the Moselhöhenweg to the source, you should definitely try the healthy water from the depths of the Eifel volcanoes.
