The monastery is home to the Norbertgymnasium NGK, a Catholic school where prayers are still held in the morning. Both Christian denominations are taught here. Outside the monastery walls there is the Klosterhof pub, where the infamous Knechtstedener Schwarzbier is served. The monastery also hosts concerts, which are very popular.
