The large Oberföhringer weir was built from 1920 to 1924 in the Grüntal in Oberföhring. The dam Oberföhring is a weir on the Isar in the north of Munich and at the same time the inlet structure of the Mittler Isar Canal. The weir connects the northern part of the English Garden with Oberföhring.
