The weir has the task to build the Isar by about six meters and divert the water in the Mittler Isar Canal, where it drives several hydroelectric power plants. This weir is a great mix of industrial culture and nature. Here natural force meets human ingenuity. And you can see it up close. Either in passing or you cross the Isar and run over to the Isar island Oberföhring.
