Beautifully situated lake in the Allgäu high Alps. A special tip is to stop on the way up towards the Edmund-Probst-Haus and enjoy the great location of the lake. You can also take a break there to relax your feet after the climb and enjoy the view.

It is quite spectacular, please only take the route from Nebelhorn !!! You also have to go back to the train station, there is no circular route.
The ridge path from the lake to
Oberstdorf (via Oytal) is only recommended for very experienced people (mountaineers). Even if some YouTube videos claim otherwise!June 23, 2021

Beautifully situated lake, the further way over the glide path into the Oytal is difficult with alpine passages, therefore more for the experienced, but feasible!

The beautiful lake can be hiked either behind the Oytalhaus, via the sliding path upwards, or from the Nebelhorn middle station via the Zeigersattel. Good shoes and surefootedness required. Well worth it 👍

Lake beautifully embedded in the mountains below the Höfatsblick mountain station of the Nebelhornbahn. It can be reached via the Seealpsee circular route from the mountain station in approx. 1 - 1.5 hours.

GPS had stopped, circular route at Seealpsee with ascent to Höfatsblick station.
Upper path with a very narrow path, often not recognizable as such. Partly leads over fallen trees and roots.
