  • The nature reserve is located in the Mittlere Kuppenalb nature reserve. It is located on the Albtrauf, south of Dettingen an der Erms, west of Bad Urach, north of the Bleichstetten district and east of the St. Johann stud farm. The Urach waterfall is in the center of the area. The NSG is part of the FFH area no. 7522-341 Uracher Talspinne as well as the bird sanctuary no. 7422-441 Mittlerere Schwäbische Alb. The nature reserve lies entirely in the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve.

  • From the rock of slides you have a great view of the Round Mountain, the ruins of Hohenneuffen and Hohenurach, Teck Castle in the distance, of the Maisental and Bad Urach.

  • Magnificent view over the valley, to the ruins of Hohen Urach and to Teck Castle! At peak times it is often very busy. Still absolutely worthwhile. A beautiful trail leads along the entire Albtrauf.
