The Brenno rises from nothing or from the crevice and flows (ice cold) against the Ticino.

The main source river of the Brenno rises below the Piz Gaglianera in the Cogn dei Lavazz area. It flows through the Val Camadra section of the valley, takes in the outflow of the Lago di Luzzone reservoir near Campo and joins in the Olivone basin with the Brenno di Santa Maria, which flows down from the Lukmanier pass.
