It has stood right in the center of the village for over 250 years. The cottage is one of the Low German hall houses that have become rare in Stormarn.
The Tremsbütteler Kate e.V. cottage association regularly hosts events there:
Whether it's a flea market around the cottage or a Christmas exhibition by the fireplace - bands from the region are always guests and fragrant bread is baked in the cottage's own stone oven.
The cottage has now also become a popular Ascension Day meeting place.
The first cyclists arrive at 10 a.m. for a hearty breakfast and freshly tapped beer. There is a picnic on the lawn, along with May woodruff punch, cake
and coffee. There is also an invitation to the "Jazz and Flea Market" - usually at the beginning of September.
