The castle of Janville was built around 1610 by Jean Louvel, adviser-secretary of the king in the chancellery of the parliament of Rouen and ennobled by letters patent of December 1576.
It has square turrets and a dovecote dating from 1781. Surrounded by a park, the body of the castle is in Renaissance style. The masonry is composed of sandstone, flint and brick mixed in the device. Enamelled brick decorations are present.
The wings and turrets after the original construction were rebuilt around 1895.
