Seespitz is the terminus of the Achenseebahn. The Achensee steam cog railway has been clawing its way up the mountain, snorting and hissing, for 1889 years. From Jenbach in the Inn Valley to Lake Achensee, it climbs 440 meters in altitude over almost seven kilometers. It is the oldest of its kind in Europe and is still working tirelessly. When she has reached the top and is panting and pausing at the lake, a steamer from the Achensee shipping company is already waiting. You can get more information about the Achenseebahn at achenseebahn.at
There is also a pier here. Here you can get on one of the excursion boats and cruise comfortably back to Achenkirch. You can find the timetables for the ships at achenseeschifffahrt.at/schifffahrt.
Alternatively, the public bus will take you back to Achenkirch. There is a bus stop just a few meters away in the direction of Maurach.

The Seespitz train station and landing stage is the link between Achensee shipping and the Achenseebahn.
