The Romanesque west tower forms the oldest part of the church and was probably built in the 11th and 12th centuries. Century. It stands out due to its massive construction like the tower of the Kelberg parish church (parish church Kelberg). Because of its shape, it is considered a former Roman watchtower or even a Celtic tower.
