Ocholt East Station Draisine and Museum Railway Station

Experience pure nostalgia - with its offers, the MABS offers all young and old friends of historic railways the wonderful experience of getting to know the atmosphere on the railway in the style of the 1960s up close.For example, we drive on the route from Ocholt to Cloppenburg, built in 1908 (today only to Sedelsberg). Here you can experience a pure nostalgia route at a leisurely pace. We as MABS are the only ones who still regularly operate passenger transport here.Balance beam bascule bridge ElisabethfehnOn this route we drive through the old seaman's village Barßel. Passing old train stations and three windmills, we cross the historic balance beam bascule bridge from 1959 over the Elisabethfehn canal in our rail bus.A very special feature of the route is the Saterland with its own language and culture, as well as a trip on the historic Feldlorenbahn to the rewetting areas in the moor. Our VT98 is stationed in Ocholt.

Families with the draisine on the way through the Ammerland
In the Ammerland, families have the opportunity to rent one of the twelve bicycle trolleys or the two club trolleys for up to 16 people and go happily on the route. The route between Westerstede and Ocholt is a good seven kilometers long and can be covered by handcar.
Start at the train stationThe fun begins at the railroad station in Westerstede. The historic station keeper's house is the starting point where parents and children register and then set off by rail vehicle.
Through a beautiful landscape
The route leads through a beautiful landscape and there is always a lot to look at and marvel at. Several stops on the seven-kilometer route are suitable for a picnic or for small excursions or sporting activities without a draisine.
