Tips

  • The Monumento ao 25 de Abril is intended to commemorate the Carnation Revolution of April 25, 1974, which led to the fall of the dictatorial Salazar regime. The chain at the foot of the monument used to be hanging, but had to be taken down for safety reasons (chain swayed in strong winds). Nevertheless, this should symbolize the "breaking of the chains" and thus the way to freedom.

  • Well, what can you say, looks like a big guillotine from afar, when you get closer, you think something heavy must have been hanging on it because the chain broke.😄My predecessor has already described everything
