6️⃣ stage of the Camino Portugues 🇵🇹 in Spain 🇪🇸 from Redondela to Pontevedra and evening conclusionAfter a nice breakfast we continued in the hinterland with a partial view of the sea - that's something 😊 - even if it was uphill 😜.
We bought a few pilgrim souvenirs at a stand by the side of the road - bracelets 😊.
After a break at a medieval bridge we went on the 2nd ascent of the day partly on beautiful medieval ox-cart paths.
On this part of the stage there was also a very lovingly furnished relaxation area with drinks. The nice end to Pontevedra was a couple of km walk along a stream with cooling of the hot feet 🦶- wonderful. In the evening dinner with active and very nice staff in a mediocre restaurant with a nice ending and a walk through the beautiful, historic old town.A very nice, but also exhausting day of hiking.

5️⃣ stage of the Camino Portugues 🇵🇹 in Spain 🇪🇸 from San Tomé de Freixeiro (Vigo) to RedondelaAfter the Airbnb overnight stay with Antonio, we first went through Vigo, where we had breakfast in a cafe - with a view of the sea / harbor from above 😊.
After a total of 7 km we came to the suburbs and out of the city.
It's good that we did that in the morning 😉.
Then off into the wooded hinterland on a high path - again and again with a beautiful view of the sea and Vigo.
We made a small stopover with a café and sweets at a small corner with a café & snack machine. It was good for us 😜.
At the next café stop there was a pilgrim's stamp - and then down the mountain to the hostel in Redondela - 🥾🦶 relax.

4️⃣ stage of the Camino Portugues in Spain 🇪🇸 from Baiona to San Tomé de Freixeiro (Vigo). After a hearty breakfast in the guesthouse, we went off the main road through Baiona and the next small towns through the inland towards Vigo - partly mountainous and through forests 🌳.
Every now and then we had a beautiful view of the sea 🌊 and the island of Cies 🤩.
At a stop in a bar to get the pilgrim's temple there was the typical and delicious liqueur café.We didn't find the stage as bad as described in the travel guide. The last km to our accommodation led the way through the city along a stream with a park-like character. After the long stage we are happy to put our feet up 😉

Break day - island of Cies, beautiful 🤩On a tip in a Camino Facebook group that Verena discovered, we went to the island of Cies today. Super beautiful beaches 🏝 with clear water 💦.
However, we took the bus to Vigo - the last day for the ship from Baiona to Cies was yesterday 🥲.
Then hike 4 km from the bus station to the port at REGEN 🌧- it wasn't planned that way 😅.But already on the ship to Cies the sun came out and it was a wonderful day on beautiful beaches 🏝Only on the way back by ship to Vigo did the clouds come back ⛅️.A wonderful day off on Cies 👍🏻🤩

Today our 3️⃣ stage of the Camino Portugues in Spain 🇪🇸 from O Serrallo to Baiona. After a leisurely breakfast in a bar on the terrace with a sea view 🌊 and morning sun 🌅, we continued on the Atlantic coast, partly along the street. Again and again we went down to the coast, clearly the nicer route 😉.
In the direction of Baiona, the path led us for the first time through the interior through the forest, over a pass. This way must be centuries as. There are deep grooves in the large stone slabs - I assume from ox carts. It's impressive how long this path must have been used.
Baiona is a small town with a beautiful, old town center, where we had delicious tapas 😊.

... and today further on the Atlantic coast from A Guarda to O Serrallo.
Very beautiful landscape - almost Irish - with meadows up to the rocky beach and cows and horses.
We had a very nice stop in the "Garden of Meditation" "on the side of the road with relaxation and stretching. And most of the time pure sun ☀️
