The fortress Schlosskopf, formerly fortress Schloßkopf, is located at about 1250 m above the Ehrenberg Castle and the market Reutte in Außerfern in Tyrol. The castle and fortress together with the associated hermitage and the fort Claudia (Hochschanz) form one of the most important fortress ensembles in Central Europe.

I really liked the growth of the walls. I have rarely noticed as here.

Popular destination and therefore well visited. But a trip there is definitely worth it, there is a lot to see and do.

Ehrenberg Castle is the center of one of Central Europe's most important fortress ensembles. It is dominated by the baroque fortress Schlosskopf. Below the Ehrenberger Klause locks the valley. East of the B179 highway, Fort Claudia completes the fortification system.Ehrenberg was once a mighty defensive fortification, administrative center and customs post. Today, the four fortresses are known under the name "Burgenwelt Ehrenberg".
