Beautiful place with at the upper end enthroned city church St Laurentius and below on the Nicolaistraße with newly built Saxon Postmeilensäule and the Altmarktbrunnen. The church has a very beautiful acoustics with an organ of the brothers Jehmlich Dresden, built in the years 1838-1840. There are always concerts from different music genres.

The Greek restaurant "Sirtaki" is also a good place to stop off. Temporary parking spaces can also be found directly on the sloping Altmarkt.
