Les Planches: This azobe wood plank, a tropical wood from Africa with a deep purple-brown colour, has been the most characteristic part of beach life in Deauville since 1923. Along Lrs Planches you can see the famous Pompeiens bains of the complex of sea baths, built of concrete with Art Deco mosaic. these pools consist of nine courtyards, each of which also has a children's pool. On the side of the beach, and thus of the deck, are 450 booths, each named after an American movie star who was invited to the city's film festival. (Michelin)
