Beautiful ascent or descent to, or from the Toni Demetz hut. Impressive gorge between the towering walls of the Sassolungo. Good walkability, but sturdy shoes and a little surefootedness you should bring.

Absolutely boot up with the Korblift from the Sella Pass - that's already an experience in itself!

Can I just confirm. I'm back up through the gap and with the basket lift back down. The panorama was breathtaking. ;-)

Please do not approach the rock faces of the Fünffingerspitze without a helmet (to hold or take a photo session for example). There is to be expected with increased risk of falling rocks through the climbing paths on these walls!

Mega ... but with so much snow and thunderstorms, the climb from the Langkofelhütte to the lift is not recommended.

Spectacular, lunar landscape in the middle of the Sassopiatto and Sassolungo. Difficult excursion for those who are not trained, however from the Sella Pass you can go up with the cable car that goes directly to the Demetz Refuge.

We hiked up in the best conditions. And it was really hard! There is also no alternative for us. Turning around and running down with so much rubble is at least as difficult. The lift is open until 5 p.m. From the Langkofelhütte to high, we (50 years old and quite fit) needed almost 2 hours with the necessary breaks. It was still a great experience.
