Although I have done this round in heavy rain doch, but the nature has really compensated me with his beauty !. And even in this weather, I can only recommend this round! Even in this weather I met some joggers and we talked about our activities!

The Black Lake is located in the core zone of the Granitz nature reserve. It covers an area of 23 ha (230,000 square meters) and is up to 15 m deep. It originated from a so-called ice hole, in which the retreat of the glaciers of the last ice age collected the water.

Not far from the hunting lodge Granitz in the nature reserve of the same name lies the Black Lake. It is a gem that invites you to linger and rest. Here you are - in contrast to the coast, which is also close - also protected from the wind. In the sunshine, there are beautiful motifs for taking pictures.

Nature is really beautiful there, and the reflections in the water anyway!

The lake is beautifully situated. It is a Kesselsee with 15 meters depth. Opposite the jetty you can see a swinging ceiling / swinging moor with many young birch trees. The silting of the lake has begun.

The 23 hectare and 15 m deep lake is part of a heavily protected core zone on Rügen; a 100 m strip around the forest lake marks the border of this total reserve - one of five in the biosphere reserve southeast Rügen. Visitors can access the calm waters via a small wooden walkway in the north of the lake. There is also a small rest area with seating in the immediate vicinity of the jetty.

In winter the question is: frozen or not?
