The Rochauer Heide (nature reserve since 1981) is part of a 35,000 hectare contiguous forest complex on the western edge of the nature park. You drive here through pine and grape oak forests with large deposits of blueberries. The gravel road was easy to drive, but since the gravel apparently came from some kind of house demolition, it was a matter of time before a tire broke down. Nevertheless, this route is the best connection by bike to or from Uckro.
