The old cemetery in Rubjerg village was abandoned in 1904 after the village had been moved to earlier. The fields were covered by drifting sand and could no longer be used, so the village was moved further inland. The old cemetery with church was used until 1904. Only walls remain of the church. A few tombstones can still be seen.
