Relatively wide stone stairs lead down to the lava sand beach of the beautiful little bay "Praia Baixa D 'Areia". This bay is located east of the lava sand beach of Playa Caloura, but both are not connected on foot - without climbing over rocks.

Hiking

Due to the collapse of the cliffs and the collapse of part of the path, the stairs leading to this section of the beach are closed. However, the Praia de Lavas de Caloura beach behind it is still accessible and very beautiful, and even has lifeguards during the summer.
