St. Christoph is an early Gothic church built between 1240 and 1330 in Mainz. The church was the baptistery of Johannes Gutenberg. It stands in the named after her Christofstraße in the old town and is adjacent to the Karmeliterplatz. The ruin of St. Christoph is today one of several war memorials of the city of Mainz - it commemorates the victims and the destruction of the city during World War II, including on February 27, 1945.
