After a steep climb you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Danube Valley.
The origins of the castle complex above Wörth an der Donau go back to around 900. The bishops of Regensburg had their summer residence here in the high Middle Ages. During the Renaissance period, the castle received its current appearance. From here, as from the opposite hill with the plague chapel, you have a beautiful view of the town and the Danube valley. In the beautifully renovated (1986) castle there is now an old people's and nursing hometranslated by
