The Catholic parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the main church in the town of Landsberg am Lech. It is located at Georg-Hellmair-Platz. Abbot Leonhard von Wessobrunn laid the foundation stone in 1458.

The external Gothic church is a three-aisled, flat-roofed basilica. Around 1700 it was baroque and decorated with rich Wessobrunn stucco. The mighty high altar from 1680 comes from Bernbeuerrer Jörg Pfeiffer. The altarpiece by Anton Triva. The works of art in this church come from different eras, including a stucco marble altar by Dominikus Zimmermann with a life-size carved Virgin Mary. Also noteworthy are the stained glass windows from the end of the 15th century, some from the Hans Holbein School.
