Birkrigg is a beautiful area of limestone landscapes in Cumbria. Its highest point stands at 446 feet (136 m) and offers spectacular views over the surrounding region and coast.

Human activity has taken place in the area for thousands of years. You can visit the Birkrigg stone circle which dates back to the Bronze Age or marvel at the three cairns here.

There are loads of footpaths and bridleways, which are best explored on mountain bike or on foot.
