The Páfos Archaeological Park is the fenced-in excavation area of the ancient city of Paphos in what is now the city of Páfos on the southwestern coast of Cyprus. It covers about a third of the ancient city. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was probably founded in the 4th century BC. BC, even before it became a city of the Ptolemaic Empire. The surviving remains of buildings date predominantly from the subsequent Roman period. The tour begins with a visitor center, which provides some general information and shows individual finds from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages. The highlights of the park are the Roman villas with their in-situ floor mosaics from Tesserae.Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arch%C3%A4ologischer_Park_Pafos

Very interesting and extensive excavation site. Be sure to come early or very late, because then there are fewer visitors and the sun is more bearable in summer. There is little shade on the site.

The excavations are very well worth seeing. But you need time and in summer you definitely need water
